Baystate Health is seeking a Senior Leadership & Organizational Development Consultant to join our Talent Management team in Springfield, MA, with a strong passion for advancing clinical excellence, workforce engagement, and a culture of inclusion and belonging.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Reporting to the Vice President of Talent Management, the Senior Leadership & Organizational Development (OD) Consultant is a strategic and highly visible role that blends consulting, facilitation, and hands-on execution. You will partner with senior leaders, HR Business Partners, and clinical teams across the enterprise to design and deliver innovative learning, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness solutions.

Strategic Consulting & Organizational Development
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, HRBPs, and operational stakeholders
- Assess organizational needs and deliver evidence-based OD and leadership solutions
- Lead initiatives such as culture transformation, leadership capability building, and team effectiveness
- Use data insights (engagement surveys, performance metrics, focus groups) to diagnose and solve organizational challenges
Learning & Leadership Development
- Design and deliver high-impact learning experiences, including leadership programs, onboarding, and manager effectiveness training
- Apply adult learning principles and blended learning strategies (virtual, in-person, AI-enabled, asynchronous)
- Facilitate engaging workshops, retreats, and leadership sessions across all levels
Change Management
- Act as a change advisor for key initiatives including clinical transformation, technology implementations, and system integrations
- Develop and execute change strategies, communication plans, and adoption metrics
- Support mergers and integrations, assessing cultural risks and guiding successful transitions
Measurement & Impact
- Define and track success metrics to measure learning effectiveness and organizational impact
- Use data-driven insights to continuously enhance programs and inform leadership decisions
Collaboration & Thought Leadership
- Partner across HR, Talent Management, Inclusion & Belonging, Clinical Education, Quality, and Operations
- Stay ahead of industry trends and best practices in learning, development, and OD
- Serve as an internal thought leader and champion of organizational effectiveness

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Education, Psychology, Business, or a related field
- 7–10+ years of progressive experience in learning, organizational, leadership/physician leadership development, preferably within healthcare.
- Knowledge of and/or experience with High Reliability Organization principles a plus
- Demonstrated experience consulting with senior/physician leaders and delivering performance-based solutions
- Strong facilitation skills with experience engaging diverse audiences, including clinical and non-clinical leaders
- Proven expertise in change management methodologies and OD frameworks
Strongly Preferred Education/Experience:
- Master’s degree in Organizational Development, Adult Learning, IO Psychology, or related discipline
- Healthcare system, academic medical center, or payer experience
- Professional Certifications in Human Resources, Change Management and/or Coaching desired
- Experience supporting mergers, integrations, or large-scale transformations

Certifications:
Basic Life Support – AHA, Oncology Certified Nurse – Oncology Nursing Society/Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation, Registered Nurse – State of Massachusetts
Compensation
Note: The compensation range(s) in the table below represent the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.

$108,180.00 – $124,342.00 – $147,097.00
