Position Overview

As a WIOA Intern, you will work closely with your assigned department and supervisor to complete meaningful projects and daily tasks. This role is designed to help you build essential job skills, strengthen your confidence, and prepare for future employment or education opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete assigned tasks and projects as directed by your department and supervisor
  • Attend all required orientations, trainings, and professional development activities
  • Meet all program expectations set by your high school and BSEP staff
  • Maintain a professional attitude and appearance in the workplace
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with staff, clients, and community members
  • Demonstrate strong time management by prioritizing tasks and handling multiple responsibilities
  • Follow all organizational policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned

Program Requirements

  • Must be enrolled and actively participating in the BSEP Program
  • Must successfully complete required job skills training with BSEP staff
  • Some placements may require additional pre-employment steps before starting

Qualifications

  • Approval through the BSEP Program is required for all candidates
  • No prior work experience necessary—this is a learning opportunity!

Compensation

Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.
