At Baystate Health, we believe strong financial leadership powers exceptional patient care. We are seeking a strategic, innovative, and collaborative VP Financial Reporting/Support Services to lead critical corporate financial operations across our integrated healthcare system in Springfield, MA.

This is an opportunity to influence enterprise-wide strategy, oversee complex financial operations, and partner directly with senior leadership in the region’s leading healthcare organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As the VP Financial Reporting/Support Services, you will provide strategic oversight for the organization’s financial infrastructure, ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and long-term financial sustainability.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead enterprise-wide financial operations, including:

    • Financial reporting & accounting

    • General ledger oversight

    • Accounts payable

    • Payroll and tax reporting

    • Grant accounting

    • Fixed assets and depreciation management

    • Payment Systems

    • Real Estate services

  • Direct treasury operations and investment management for approximately $2B in investment funds

  • Manage cash flow, liquidity planning, debt financing, bond offerings, and banking relationships

  • Support executive leadership, Boards of Trustees, and key committees including:

    • Audit & Compliance

    • Finance

    • Investment Committees

  • Oversee governmental reimbursement activities, cost reporting, and audit coordination

  • Drive financial innovation, operational efficiency, and process improvement initiatives

  • Lead federal and state tax reporting compliance, including 990s, 1120s, W-2s, and 1099s

  • Partner with rating agencies, auditors, consultants, and external stakeholders

  • Collaborate across the health system to support strategic growth and integrated delivery initiatives

  • Manage  the real estate services function overseeing all leased properties

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree, required

  • CPA and/or CTP, strongly preferred

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare finance or corporate financial support services

  • Proven success leading complex financial operations in a large, multi-entity organization

  • Strong expertise in:

    • Healthcare accounting and reporting

    • Treasury and investment management

    • Debt financing and capital structure management

    • Regulatory compliance and audit support

    • Strategic financial planning

Compensation

Note: The compensation range(s) in the table below represent the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.

Minimum – Maximum

$276,300.00 – $393,300.00
