The Research Operations Coordinator provides comprehensive administrative and operational support for research activities within the organization. This position combines advanced administrative skills with specialized knowledge of research compliance, documentation, and project coordination. The role ensures adherence to institutional and regulatory requirements while facilitating efficient research operations and supporting strategic initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
Administrative & Operational Support
• Manage complex calendars, schedule meetings, conferences, and travel arrangements for research leadership.
• Screen and respond to inquiries, correspondence, and calls; prepare appropriate responses to routine inquiries.
• Develop and maintain filing systems, documentation repositories, and Teams folders for research projects.
• Process expenditures and maintain accurate financial records.
Research Coordination
• Serve as liaison between research teams, finance, and administrative offices to ensure smooth operations.
• Coordinate administrative tasks related to research projects, including scheduling, documentation, and communication.
• Support audits, compliance reporting, and effort reporting processes.
• Track staff training completion and maintain compliance records.
Data Management & Reporting
• Collect and manage data in databases or other formats to track project progress and program metrics.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and dashboards for research leadership using statistics, graphs, and illustrations.
Project Leadership
• Act with delegated autonomy to lead and/or coordinate department program and project initiatives.
• Develop work plans, identify key components, and manage logistics for assigned projects.
• Exercise independent judgment and discretion in problem-solving and decision-making.
Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Required Experience:
Minimum 3 years in healthcare administration, research operations, or executive support
Preferred Experience:
• Experience in a large, matrix organization is desirable.
Skills/Competencies:
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.

Note: The compensation range(s) in the table below represent the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.
