Baystate Health, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare quality and safety, and home to Baystate Medical Center is looking for a Part-time Guest Service Ambassador to join our team in Springfield, MA!
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:

SCHEDULE:
- Part-time, 16 hours/week
- 2nd shift, weekends typically 11:30am-7:30pm, rotating holidays may be required
LOCATION:
- Baystate Medical Center
- Springfield, MA
JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Patient Experience & Support
- Assist patients and families with menu selections that align with Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) orders
- Provide guidance and recommend appropriate food choices and alternatives
- Communicate patient concerns or intake issues to nursing and Clinical Nutrition teams
Meal Preparation & Delivery
- Accurately assemble and deliver meals, snacks, and supplements in compliance with diet orders and allergies
- Verify patient identity using dual identifiers during delivery
- Ensure trays are complete and assist patients with setup when needed
- Coordinate meal delivery with nursing staff for point-of-care patients
Food Safety & Quality
- Follow safe food handling practices, including proper hygiene and temperature control
- Maintain clean workspaces (“clean in, clean out”)
- Practice First-In, First-Out (FIFO) inventory methods
Operations & Coordination
- Record meal intake, supplements, fluids, and calorie counts as required
- Track trays and report any issues promptly
- Stock and replenish tray line supplies and maintain inventory levels
- Process commissary orders to ensure consistent availability of food items
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma, GED, or HiSet preferred

Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.
