Baystate Health, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare quality and safety, and home to Baystate Wing Hospital is looking for an Emergency Department Technician to join our Emergency Department team in Palmer, MA!

Baystate Wing Hospital is an 46-bed community hospital in Palmer, MA. Rooted in a rich tradition of service and accountability to the people of Palmer, MA and surrounding communities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Baystate Health, Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) is responsible for direct patient care including hygiene, skin care, mobility, transfers, and monitoring. This multi-skilled incumbent performs a variety of duties related to phlebotomy, EKGs, assisting with procedures, taking vitals, recording drainage patterns, and wound care. The ED Tech is also responsible for assisting with elimination of body wastes, performing POC testing and communicating effectively with patients and team members.

SCHEDULE:

  • Full-time, 36 hours, 1st shift – 7am-7pm

  • Every other weekend, every other holiday

  • Differential pay for weekends and holidays.

  • Baystate Wing Hospital

  • Palmer, MA

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • High School diploma or GED

  • CPR-Basic Life Support of Healthcare Provider required from the American Heart Association

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of direct patient care experience

  • EMT or ED/Urgent Care experience or experience through the military medical units, preferred

Compensation

Note: The compensation range(s) in the table below represent the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.

$19.29 – $22.16 – $25.87
