Dining Service Attendant

Baystate Health, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare quality and safety, and home to Baystate Medical Center (BMC), is looking for a Dining Service Attendant to join our Catering team in Springfield, MA.  

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:

• Team oriented
• Peer support
• Fast-paced work environment

SCHEDULE:

• Full-time, 40 hours/week
• 1st Shift, Monday-Friday, 6am-2:30pm, no weekends or holidays

LOCATION:

• Baystate Medical Center
• Springfield, MA

JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Clean and sanitize all work areas after performing job tasks in accordance with National Restaurant Association Guidelines.
• Maintains neat and clean uniform and self as observed by supervisor and perceived by customers.
• Maintains effective working relationships with peers, guests and other hospital employees that reflects mutual respect, professionalism and courtesy.
• Gathers all tools and necessary equipment needed to operate individual station according to departmental guidelines.
• Set up, delivery and retrieval of catered functions in a timely manner in accordance with scheduled meetings and functions as needed daily.
• Other duties and responsibilities as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Experience in catering, working with displays, and customer service preferred.

Note: The compensation range(s) in the table below represent the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.
