Case Manager Assistant

Baystate Health, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare quality and safety, is searching for a Case Manager Assistant to join their inpatient Case Management Team.
What you will do:
- The Case Management Assistant will work collaboratively with patients and Case Managers to communicate and document accurate clinical and regulatory information.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to address financial advocacy for the patient/organization.
- Audit Charts for Medicare requirements and communicate regulations effectively.
- Assist with follow-up appointments and telephone calls and other post acute/transitional planning care needs.
- Support coordination with representatives from insurance companies, accountable care organizations, home care agencies, skilled nursing facilities, durable medical equipment companies, and transportation agencies.
What you will need:
- High School Diploma or GED requires. Associate degree preferred.
- Two years to five years prior experience a health-related field.
- Insurance/payer experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of Medical Terminology.
What you need to know:
- Part-Time 16 hrs. a week
- Must be available to work between 8:00 AM- 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, and every fourth weekend, with 1-2 holidays a year.
- Location – Baystate Medical Center- 759 Chestnut Street, Springfield.

OUR COMPENSATION PHILOSOPHY
We offer competitive total compensation that includes pay, benefits, and other recognition programs for our employees. The base pay range shown above considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including knowledge/skills; relevant experience and training; education/certifications/licensure; and other business and organizational factors. This base pay range does not include our comprehensive benefits package and any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role.
Note: The compensation range(s) in the table below represent the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.
