Administrative Supervisor, Cardiology

Baystate Health, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare quality and safety—and home to Baystate Medical Practices, the region’s largest multispecialty group—is seeking an experienced Supervisor of Practices and Clinics to join our dynamic Cardiology team.

*This position is a multi-site Supervisor role. Locations are Springfield, Greenfield, and Northampton.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Reporting to the Manager, the Practice Supervisor oversees administrative staff across a single or multi-practice scope. This role plays a critical part in ensuring efficient daily operations, optimizing workflows, and supporting both staff and providers. You will partner closely with clinical and operational leadership to drive performance, enhance patient satisfaction, and improve financial outcomes.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead Daily Operations: Oversee administrative functions, workflows, and staffing to ensure smooth day-to-day practice operations
  • Team Leadership & Development: Supervise, coach, and develop staff, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and employee engagement initiatives
  • Hiring & Onboarding: Partner with Talent Acquisition and leadership to recruit, interview, onboard, and train new team members
  • Operational Excellence: Develop and implement efficient office systems, optimize scheduling templates, and improve workflows
  • Revenue Cycle Oversight: Ensure accurate charge entry, insurance verification, and co-pay collection while identifying opportunities to improve revenue performance
  • Systems & Superuser Support: Serve as a subject matter expert for scheduling, billing, EMR, and call center applications; train staff and troubleshoot issues
  • Medical Records Compliance: Oversee records management, ensuring compliance with HIM policies and audit readiness (including HEDIS)
  • Budget & Resource Management: Monitor supply budgets, analyze variances, and support financial planning efforts
  • Performance Management: Track productivity metrics, support performance improvement efforts, and foster accountability across the team
  • Customer Experience: Resolve patient and staff concerns while promoting a culture of service excellence
  • Scheduling Oversight: Manage provider schedules, templates, and staffing coverage to maximize access and efficiency

SCHEDULE:

  • Full-time
  • Monday through Friday – 8:00am-4:30pm.
  • Hours will vary based on business need

  • 325B King St, Northampton, MA
  • 164 High St, Greenfield, MA

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • High School Diploma or GED, required
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience, required
  • 3 years of healthcare practice experience, preferred
  • Excellent communication (both oral and written) and presentation skills
  • Initiative and ability to work independently
  • Outpatient experience, preferred

Note: The compensation range(s) in the table below represent the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.

$60,944.00 – $70,054.00 – $82,846.00
