Baystate Health, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare quality and safety, and home to Baystate Medical Practices, the largest multispecialty group in the region is looking for a part-time Staff Assistant to join our Ambulatory Quality & Clinical Integration team in Springfield, MA.


  • Position supports Quality, Clinical Integration and Baystate Medical Practices Administration, with direct support to Directors of Advance Practice Providers, Nursing, and Quality. 
  • Role reports to Director of Ambulatory Quality and Clinical Integration, and works closely with Executive Assistant to VP, Clinical Integration
  • Team is small, dynamic, supportive, highly collaborative and inclusive with Tier 1 employee engagement performance
  • Team supports safety, quality, and access to care initiatives, requiring fast paced work across multiple departments and levels of the organization.


Baystate Health, Staff Assistants provide extensive administrative and secretarial support to the manager and/or department. Staff assistants are responsible for a variety of complex analyses, reports, and databases as well as creating complex spreadsheets and other documents. Represents the department in resolving problems and exchange of information, interpretation of departmental policy and procedures. Receives and screens visitors and telephone calls for department and responds to general inquiries or routes to appropriate personnel. Interacts with a wide variety of hospital executives, medical staff and/or outsiders in a professional and efficient manner, obtains or relays information, arranges meetings, gathers data, etc. Receives and screens incoming correspondence, reports, memos, etc., and prepares appropriate responses to routine inquiries.


  • Part-time, 20 hours a week, Monday through Friday. Open to flexible scheduling.

  • High School Diploma or GED, required
  • Minimum of 2 years working in an office or practice setting
