Baystate Health, western Massachusetts’s premier healthcare provider, and home to Baystate Medical Center, the region’s only level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and level 1 trauma center and pediatric trauma center is looking for a Staff Assistant to join our dynamic team in Baystate Children’s Hospital.
At Baystate Health, Staff Assistants perform an important role providing extensive administrative support (60% or more of the time) and some secretarial support to manager, physicians and the department. Completes a variety of complex analyses, reports, and databases. Maintains administrative calendars, clinical coverage schedules, and/or rotation schedules. Schedules patient appointments, reminder calls, and follow-up letters as needed. Processes administrative paperwork, acts as payroll timekeeper, and assists with projects as needed. Creates complex spreadsheets and other documents. Requires intermediate to advanced use of personal computer. Represents the department in resolving problems and exchange of information, interpretation of departmental policy and procedures.
Position is full time Monday – Friday, 8am – 4:30 pm.
