The Baystate Regional Cancer Program includes a multidisciplinary team of the region's most extensive and accomplished cancer specialist providing the highest caliber treatments including chemotherapy, radiation therapy and surgery is looking for a full time Registered Nurse to join the Oncology Practice team.

RN, Oncology Practice Nurse for the Medical Hematology / Oncology Clinic with the Cancer Center – The practice nurse in the clinic acts as a link between patients and care providers to assist patients/families/caregivers and facilitate patient care.
Works closely with physician, infusion staff, clinic staff, radiation staff, and other disciplines and/or external resources to coordinate patient care and follow patient throughout the care continuum. Manages telephone calls from patients and families: triages patient calls, assesses the clinical problem, and implements a plan related to patient need. Facilitates referrals to appropriate disciplines or services (internally or externally), including but not limited to home care services and transitions to palliative care or hospice in collaboration with the cancer care team.
- RN provides to support the practice office and physicians
- Responsible for phone triage, symptom management, and overall coordination of care.
Required Work Experience:
- MA RN License and BLS CPR Required.
- BSN preferred and 3-5 years of nursing experience required. For candidates without a BSN- Must have 7 years experience
- Oncology experience and knowledge of oncology care, protocols, knowledge of chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, IV therapy and related supportive measures preferred.
Schedule & Location
- Location – D ’Amour Center for Cancer Care- 3350 Main Street.
- Full Time – 36 hours working 4- 9 hours shifts Monday -Friday- No Weekends / holidays.

Education:
Bachelor of Science: Nursing, Diploma in Nursing (Required)
Certifications:
Advanced Cardiac Life Support – American Heart Association, Basic Life Support – American Heart Association, Oncology Certified Nurse – Oncology Nursing Society/Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation, PALS & ACLS required for PACU – other, Pediatric Advanced Life Support – Other, Registered Nurse – State of Massachusetts
