Baystate Health, western Massachusetts’s premier healthcare provider is looking for a Respiratory Therapy Supervisor to join the Baystate Noble team!
BAYSTATE NOBLE COMMUNITY HOSPITAL:
Baystate Noble Hospital is a 85-bed acute care community hospital helping people in the Greater Westfield community and offers direct access to world-class technology, diagnostics, and specialists.
Our Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program is the only independent, multidisciplinary pulmonary rehab program in western Massachusetts. It’s also one of the few in Massachusetts certified by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation.
The Respiratory Therapy Supervisor is the front – line representative to oversee the daily operations and supervises Respiratory Care for Baystate Noble Hospital.
Clinical Practice: The RT Supervisor provides 24 hours of direct care to patients each week following all hospital and system policies.
Workload Assessment: Assesses departmental workload and available of staffing levels, equitably assigns staff to ensure timely service delivery to assure the provision of safe, effective respiratory care for adult, pediatric and neonatal patients across all levels of care to realize optimal patient outcomes.
Leadership: The RT Supervisor works within the system in order to accomplish patient, unit, departmental and institutional goals. Supervises the daily workflow and personnel and leads performance improvement, staff recognition and engagement in order to achieve and sustain positive outcomes.
Collaboration: The RT Supervisor promotes an environment where open, honest communication allows for equality, shared responsibility, accountability and mutual respect.
Management of the Environment: The RT Supervisor initiates adjustments in staffing and resource utilization in collaboration with the Director to meet identified targets.
Effective supervisory, communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Education and Experience:
Associates degree in a science field.
Current registration by the National Board of Respiratory Therapy.
Two years of experience in respiratory therapy and pulmonary medicine in an acute-care setting.
