Baystate Medical Center is offering a per diem incentive program for Respiratory Therapists

  • Applicants must have a minimum of two years of related experience

Per Diem Incentive RTs must pre-schedule a minimum of 60 hours of work time in a 6-week scheduling period. (After the core team has been scheduled).

As deemed necessary by the Director Patient Care Services and/or Manager of Respiratory, the Per Diem Incentive RT will be expected to work a minimum of 1- weekend shift per 6-week scheduling and 2 holidays annually.  One holiday from each seasonal grouping Summer (Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day) and Winter (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Martin Luther King) on a rotational basis deemed by the department

  • Per Diem Incentive positions provide a $4.00 / $6.00 hour premium differential for this regular commitment

Tier Requirements

Tier I:

Competency: Skills competencies in 2 + years of experience (RRT Registration CRT Registration).

  • Shift Requirements: At least 36 hours during a six-week period

Per Diem Hourly Incentive

Base pay plus $4.00 (on top of baystate's regular shift differentials)

Tier II

Competency: Skills competencies:  2 + years of experience (RRT Registration CRT Registration).

  • Shift Requirements: At least 60 hours during a six-week period

Per Diem Hourly incentive

Base pay plus $6.00 (on top of baystate's regular shift differentials)

Working less than 624 hours annually or 2 consecutive scheduling blocks with less than 120 hours worked will result in a voluntary transfer to a traditional per diem position and will forfeit the incentive differential.

    Associates of Science: Respiratory Therapy (Required)

    Certifications:

    Basic Life Support – American Heart Association, Licensed Respiratory Therapy – Other, Registered Respiratory Therapist – The National Board for Respiratory Care
