  • Baystate Health, western Massachusetts’s premier healthcare provider, and home to Baystate Medical Center (BMC), a Magnet Hospital for Nursing Excellence is looking for a FULL TIME Registered Nurse to join our float pool team in the Central Staffing Office.

    DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:

    • The primary mission of Central Staffing Office (CSO) is to provide high quality, safe and effective patient care, by providing supplemental staffing resources to nursing unit’s hospital-wide, on an anticipated and unanticipated basis, with the primary focus on patients and families.
    • Our vision is to provide Baystate Medical Center (BMC) with flexible staffing solutions in support of the organization’s mission.
    • The Float Pool provides the opportunity for nurses to work throughout BMC, in a variety of nursing units, including surgical, medical, critical care, inter-care and others.
    • CSO is an internal float pool aimed at promoting professional nursing, while utilizing a nurse’s flexibility, expertise and experience.
    • The CSO provides an ideal setting for nurses and Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) who would like the opportunity to work in a variety of areas in which they possess the experience and skill competency.

    • The CSO is designed for flexibility in scheduling and offers a variety of employment opportunities.

    QUALIFICATIONS: 

    • Successfully passed Board of Registration in Nursing Examination and is licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
    • Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification required.
    • Experience: Minimum 2 years acute care experience with the last 12 months working in area of specialty (i.e. neuro, cardiovascular/telemetry, trauma, intermediate care, med-surg, ICU, Etc.)
    • Willing to float to more than one area and be flexible.
    • Education: ASN required; BSN preferred.
