Baystate Health, western Massachusetts’s premier healthcare provider, and home to Baystate Medical Practices, the largest multispecialty group in the region is looking for a Patient Service Representative to join our Greenfield Family Medicine team in Greenfield, MA.

RESPONSIBILITIES. Baystate Health Patient Service Representatives perform a variety of different tasks throughout the day. They greet patients promptly in warm, friendly manner demonstrating appropriate amount of interest or concern. Request proof of insurance; verify using appropriate systems, initiates contact for financial counseling. Assist patients or customers fill out and complete medical release of information accurately. Accurately perform check in and check out, including co-payments. Answer phones and schedule appointments.

 

SCHEDULE.  Full time:  Monday thru Friday. No weekends, no Holidays.

Requirements:

o    High School diploma or GED

o    Great interpersonal skills, compassionate care giver and able to work in a fast-paced environment a MUST.

o    Medical terminology, keyboard, Microsoft office products, schedule systems, medical records (electronic and paper), billing, basic math, language, reading and writing, customer service

o    Experience in a medical office setting preferred.
