Baystate Health, Western Massachusetts’s premier healthcare provider, and home to Baystate Medical Practices, the largest multispecialty group in the region, is looking for a Patient Service Representative to join our Neuroendovascular team in Springfield.


  • Full Time
  • M-F between the hours of 8am-4:30pm. No weekends or Holidays.

Department Description:

  • 3 providers, 1 PSR and 2 MA’s, Patient’s seen per day varies: typically, 20 to 40 patients throughout the week.
  • Our practice is a surgical suite, highly engaged, we had road maps to promotion, and provide educational series for employees to become better versed in specialty they work in.
  • Collaborative team, fun with purpose at work, superior training provided, we believe that experience is not only for our patient’s but our teams as well.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Baystate Health’s Patient Service Representatives perform a variety of different tasks throughout the day. This includes greeting patients, check in and check out and requesting copays. Responsibilities also include verifying insurances, answering telephones and faxing medical documents.

High School diploma or GED


Great interpersonal skills and able to work in a fast-paced environment a MUST.

Medical terminology, keyboard, Microsoft office products, schedule systems, medical records (electronic and paper), billing, basic math, language, reading and writing, customer service.

Experience in a medical office setting preferred.
