Organizational Development Specialist

The Organization Development Specialist is responsible for consulting and executing on organizational design, talent development, and change management initiatives that align talent and human resource development systems to the Workplace of Choice strategy. The Specialist will design, develop, implement, and evaluate moderate to large scale programs that contribute to the fulfillment of system wide organization development strategies and objectives. The Specialist provides consulting, coaching, facilitation services focused on the design and implementation of the organizational development strategy that enhance employee development, career movement, and links to diversity, inclusion and belonging and our desired culture.  

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a consultant, coach, and facilitator to Baystate Health leaders, managers, supervisors and employees in team development, leadership skills, performance improvement, talent identification, and career development.

  • Design and develop organizational development programs, processes, and initiatives for areas such as leadership development, employee performance, change management, talent review, succession management, career movement and job search.

  • Measure and track key outcomes. Provide monthly updates on action plans, achievements, barriers and outcomes. Research and keep up to date on HR practices and trends in the industry. Bring forward trends and opportunities to consider for organizational development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required.

  • Preferred Master's Degree in Human Resources, Social Work, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or related degree.

Experience:

  • 2-5 years directly related experience in organization development, leadership and talent development, and change management.

  • Experience in facilitating in-person and virtual learning, instructional design, conflict resolution, team building or life coaching.

  • Years of experience supervising: 1–3 preferred.

  • Experience in behavioral science tools such as leader and behavioral assessments preferred.

  • Superior organizational skills, written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize work and tasks required.

  • Confident facilitator and presenter to all levels in the organization.

  • Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint] required.

  • Experience with LMS systems preferred.
