PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
Our accredited Nurse Residency Program will bring opportunities for growth and development within Baystate Medical Center during your first year of clinical nursing. This program provides continued education for any nurse with less than one year of experience. Join the Baystate team dedicated to a culture of safety, shared governance, nursing autonomy and patient experience.
The Nurse Residency Program will provide you with a curriculum including Crisis Prevention Intervention certifications, Stop the Bleed certification, the M-Technique, and many more informative and educational topics. Enjoy a year of transitional nursing with a team dedicated to your success.
Department DESCRIPTION:
- Wesson 4 is a dedicated, growing team, with an engaged Manager, committed to the professional growth and development of the team, and dedicated to patient experience.
- This unit offers participation in nurse driven change projects, great nursing ratios, and optimal support.
- This unit is a 36-bed unit with 24 telemetry monitors.
- Close partnership with Physician Medical Director.
- Teaching unit for Medical Residents and Nursing Students.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Massachusetts
- Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification
- Less than 1 year RN experience
