Under the direction of the MPBS (Medial Practice Business Services) Accounts Receivable Manager and Team Leader of Customer Service, the Customer Service Representative II (CSR II) is responsible for all incoming phone calls to the Physician Billing Operation. The CSR also handles all mail correspondence from patients and insurance companies.

Job Responsibilities: 

1) Processes incoming phone calls, correspondence and in person inquiries received from third party payers, patients/guarantors and attorneys.

2) Updates registration and demographic information obtained from internal computer systems, patients/guarantors, and insurance companies

3) Establish and monitor budget payment plans within Physician Billing Organization office policy and procedure.

4) Notates all actions taken and contacts with patients/guarantors and third party payers on accounts as required by Supervisor.

5) Process patient payments electronically.

6) Accurately reports all production activity on daily/weekly/monthly statistical reports as required by Supervisor.

7) Works in coordination with other members of the Physician Billing Organization as necessary.

8) Performs duties and job functions in accordance with the policies established for the department.

9) Attends and actively participates in assigned inter/intra-departmental meetings.

10) Performs other duties as assigned.

11) Observe all health and safety requirements

12) Incumbent is expected to adhere to system and department compliance policies, and any applicable laws and regulations.

13) Incumbent is expected to be able to work in a team atmosphere within the unit.

Required Work Experience: 

1) 1 year

2) Speak Fluent Spanish

Preferred Work Experience: 

1) 3 years

Skills and Competencies: 

1) Excellent PC skills and knowledge of Athena IDX system beneficial
