The Director Innovation focuses on optimizing patient care and consumer experience through digital capabilities and innovations. The Director also leads the design and digital development teams that have the skills and capacity to perform in-house design and development initiatives that deliver enhanced capabilities and experiences to both patients and providers. The Director Innovation, he/she partners with Baystate Health Chief Clinical Integration Officer to provide implementation support to execute the OATH strategic goal over the next few years.

Director Innovation, he/she leads Baystate Health in identifying opportunities to leverage rising or innovative technologies in the marketplace, or the innovative use or expansion of current technologies at Baystate in partnership with technology providers. The incumbent continuously leads Baystate Health’s enterprise through an innovation process that opens channels of dialogue and ignites active brainstorming of solutions that could solve problems within the health system and healthcare at large. He/she is focused on progressing Baystate Health’s strategic objectives by establishing digital and technology partnerships or by identifying technology or digital solutions that can drive the objectives of the business rather than simply delivering technology for the sake of technology. As the Director Innovation, he/she must strategize, execute, and lead development initiatives to support technology solutions better align with industry best practices.

As the leader of Digital Innovation, the Director will provide Baystate Health and its team members opportunities to participate in innovation activities and programs that transform the patient access, patient experience and achieve imperative business objectives that drive system-wide strategies.

Job description:

Director Innovation – Baystate Health is seeking a strong Director Innovation to lead our digital innovation initiatives. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Director of Innovation to join our dynamic leadership team. This role requires a high-caliber professional who can drive digital innovation initiatives and ensure compliance with the highest standards of governance across the organization. The ideal candidate for this role will possess an exceptional background in digital innovation strategies, expertise in governance processes and procedures, and knowledge of the latest industry trends. The successful candidate must also have the ability to collaborate with diverse clinical and operational stakeholders, foster a culture of innovation, and lead by example. This is an excellent opportunity for a leader who is passionate about digital innovation to contribute to the growth and success of our organization. This management role is pivotal in ensuring that the company's digital presence aligns with its mission and value and enhances customer journeys across all digital touchpoints.

Director position should have a minimum of 10-15 years of experience in digital innovation, strategy, product management, Human Centered Design, and organizational change leadership, with a proven track record in building customer-facing digital products and experiences. Exceptional leadership skills, a passion for collaboration, and the ability to influence and drive vision across the organization are essential. The Director, Digital Innovation will work closely with the VP, Digital Innovation and Transformation to lead and deploy innovation technology solutions for Baystate Health. The Director will serve as a Trusted Advisor and a key driver in change management. Expert at showing our customers how to connect directly with consumers and indirectly through key influencers. The Director will need to exude exceptional presentation skills both internally and externally to our clients on digital marketing solutions.

Develop and implement digital innovative solutions and platforms initiatives to ensure the successful achievement of the organization's objectives. Oversee the development, implementation, and enforcement of governance processes and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards. Monitor and analyze the latest industry trends to ensure the organization is well positioned to remain competitive. Establish and cultivate relationships with stakeholders to ensure open communication and collaboration. Foster a culture of innovation to drive continuous improvement and ensure the organization remains at the forefront of digital transformation. Lead by example and inspire others to demonstrate the same commitment to excellence. Plan and manage projects, resources, and budgets to ensure successful completion of digital innovation initiatives. Develop and implement metrics to measure the effectiveness of digital Innovation strategies and initiatives. Develop and maintain digital innovation policies and procedures. Stay abreast of industry best practices to ensure the organization remains compliant and competitive.

Skills/Competencies:
