The Community Sourcing Specialist (CSS) has a key role in building relationships and pipelines within local or regional communities to attract and engage the local workforce.  The CSS acts as a community advocate in connecting candidates to healthcare careers.  The CSS additionally serves as the campus ambassador for employment and primary point of contact for career services offices, students and organizations, faculty, candidates, and other appropriate groups at local schools or community-based organizations and community career centers.

This role focuses on building connections with organizations that will enable Baystate to build pipelines of talent into common healthcare roles across the System.  This role drives external partnerships with schools, community organizations, and professional networks to help inform and provide guidance about the company’s career opportunities, culture, and mission. The CSS will work directly with the Talent Acquisition team and provide sourcing for both vacant roles and community members interested in learn-to-earn training programs managed by Workforce Planning team.

This position will be remote with the expectation of 50%+ local travel across New England.

  •  Serves as the recruitment ambassador to community groups, community career centers and local campuses to ultimately build partnerships for creation of pipelines of talent into healthcare roles across the system.

  • In person relationship management including regular visits to community partners and Participation or management of events to attract and interact with candidates.

  • Develop creative ideas for Talent Acquisition and Workforce Development by identifying candidates or skill sets that have potential, with additional training or exposure to move into job openings within targeted talent needs.

  • Create regional referral networks for all BH sites including Springfield, Greenfield, Westfield and Palmer.

  • Assists with case managing job seekers from specific organization.  Screen candidates including career coaching as needed, provides feedback and support to untrained candidates to support them on their journey of working in healthcare.

  • Directs community members back to appropriate resources for both Baystate or community sponsored programs.

  • Work collaboratively with Workforce Planning colleagues to ensure training programs are promoted in the community and provides assistance as need in sourcing for learn to earn programs.

  • Assist in development and daily management of social media tools to promote careers at Baystate.

  • Track community and college interactions on a regular basis as well as Route candidates appropriately within Workday to the recruitment team.

  • Develop creative ideas for recruitment and workforce development by identifying candidates or skill sets that have potential, with additional training or exposure, to move into job openings with targeted talent needs.

Bachelor’s Degree Preferred

Five (5) years of recruitment, workforce development or workforce training experience may be considered in lieu of Bachelor’s degree.

2 years recruiting experience is preferred.

Experience with campus recruitment is preferred.

Experience (including volunteering) with local community or not-for profit groups is preferred.

Experience with and knowledge of sourcing effectiveness, screening, interviewing, selection and candidate assessment techniques is required.

Demonstrated successful experience directly soliciting passive candidates or related inside sales experience is required.

Intermediate or advanced-level experience with using electronic media, social networking, internet research, candidate mining, and professional organizations to source candidates and build talent pipelines is preferred.

Key Skills/Competencies: Experience working in a metrics driven environment – Data management skills/excel experience; Enjoys speaking publicly and presenting in front of others, persuasive communication in a one-on-one and group setting, Internet savvy and enjoy internet search/social networking, comfortable being self-motivated and purpose driven.
