The Business Application Analyst is responsible for supporting the activities of the Health Information Exchange. Ability to communicate key concepts arising out of analysis of data is required. Attention to detail, analytical skills and strong capabilities using computer technology are key job requirements. Adheres to system and department compliance policies, and any and all applicable laws and regulations.

The Business Application Analyst will work in close partnership with BMP management, medical leadership and operational staff to monitor and maximize clinical performance of assigned practices. Analyst is the primary liaison to assigned practices and is responsible for maintaining and fostering the relationship.

Job Responsibilities: 

1) Assists with planning and implementation of system enhancements, including addition of new practices, development for new and existing practices, new functionality, and enhancements.

2) Creates and maintains documentation to reflect current operating procedures and requirements.

3) Partners with I&T and community partners to test and implement new applications, enhancements, maintenance, and upgrades.

4) Acts as primary participant in development and quality testing of new functionality and impacts of upgrades on current system and report configurations.

5) Designs and writes reports/schedules that are easy to understand to support the business analysis function. Writes reports for ad hoc information needs.

6) Writes and maintains logic files, maintains tables, and improves the end user experience through process improvement.

7) Develop value props for new programs and features.

Required Work Experience: 

1) Six to eight years of analytical experience, preferably in the health care field, with sound problem solving skills

Skills and Competencies: 

1) Logical thinker with strong computer skills including Cerner and Intersystems applications

2)  Clinical background is a plus
