Great opportunity for a full-time Audiologist to join our dynamic outpatient department that is open 7a-7p weekdays with working a set schedule that includes both early and later start times for 8-hour shift throughout the week.
Provides comprehensive evaluative, rehabilitative, preventative and referral services for the hearing impaired on an inpatient, outpatient, homecare and contract basis. Instructs patients, families and other support personnel in rehabilitative/habilitative measures, monitors patients' progress and maintains clinical records. Identifies, evaluates, treats and follows up clients on an inpatient, outpatient, homecare and contract basis as assigned.
Provides age-appropriate care to patients.
Demonstrated knowledge of developmental stages for the following age groups (infant/child, adolescence, adult and older, geriatrics) and applies developmental theories and concepts when planning and implementing care for patients as appropriate per assignment.
Evaluates the appropriateness of diagnostic and therapeutic materials and equipment. Contributes to purchasing decisions.
Is responsible for condition of materials, equipment and tests used. Initiates and follows up on necessary action in relation to clients.
Determines appropriate plans for clients and recommendations for continued care.
Counsels clients, families and others in relation to understanding and assisting in the identification and treatment of hearing impairment.
Encourages and maintains cooperation with other professionals, agencies and services.
Writes necessary records and reports for all clients and the department. Adheres to the ASHA Code of ethics. Follows hospital and departmental policies and professional standards.
Participates actively in the departmental team and other teams involved with clients. Participates and shares continuing education experiences. Dependent on experience supervises volunteers and students.
Required Work Experience:

Preferred Work Experience:
1-2 years of experience
Required Licensures and Certifications:
Active Massachusetts' Audiologist licensure.
CPR through American Heart Association BLS Provider
Skills and Competencies:
We are willing to train for competency in all areas of practice.
Pediatric and adult patients for diagnostic evaluations, hearing aids, cochlear implants. ABR testing under natural sleep and anesthesia. Also work with BAHA and ADHEAR. (preferred)
